One on one business advice

Your mentor will meet with you individually to answer your questions about starting or running a business. Common topics include legal entities, financing, business plans and marketing. That being said, many of our clients just like to have someone impartial to bounce ideas off of.

We have mentors in Hempstead, Hauppauge, Garden City, Brookhaven, Riverhead, Southampton, Hampton Bays, Shirley, Bayshore, Dix Hills, Kings Park, Bay Shore/Brightwaters, and Shoreham offering free mentoring and advice.

Workshops

Free at libraries on Long Island. Sign up or drop in for courses on business basics, writing business plans, or marketing for small businesses. These courses are geared towards both existing businesses and people thinking about starting one.

WHO ARE THE MENTORS?

SCORE mentors include people who have started and grown their own businesses, bankers, accountants, and corporate executives on Long Island.  We have over 25 successful business people on Long Island who volunteer to help small businesses start and succeed – we do it to give back to our community. Our services are free and confidential.
